New Denver and Area Housing Society Annual General Meeting 2024
The New Denver and Area Housing Society Annual General Meeting will be held on February 26, 2024 at 7:00pm (Pacific Time Zone). This meeting will be an online Zoom Meeting. If you would like to attend, please email us at email@example.com before noon on February 26, 2024 requesting the Zoom link. The Zoom link will be distributed via email at 6:30pm (a half hour before the meeting).
Membership in the New Denver and Area Housing Society is $5. Members are able to vote on motions during the Annual General Meeting, receive notification as milestones are reached on building projects and is requirement to sit on the board. Members in good standing must be paid up before the February 26, 2024 AGM to receive the emailed Zoom link. Payment can be made at the Valley Voice Office (406 Sixth St, New Denver BC) or mailed into the Valley Voice Office (PO Box 70, New Denver BC, V0G1S0).

The Osprey Residence is seeking additional applications from families for our 2 and 3 bedroom rentals in New Denver. Accessible and Standard units are available. These units will be rented at the low-end of the market pricing.
Situated in the heart of New Denver, minutes from Lucerne Elementary Secondary School, grocery shopping, Main Street and walking trails, these residences are ideal for families of 3-5 people looking for affordable housing in our vibrant community. They are pet friendly for one dog or one cat.
Monthly rent will be approximately $1,350 - $1,700 depending on the size of the unit and number of bedrooms. As a part of the community - we are looking for families that want to be a part of the New Denver community.

Our goal is to provide much needed housing for individuals and families that might otherwise have to leave the village to find affordable living alternatives. In a community this small, everyone is important!
The people, the community.
The demographics of the area confirm that the majority of the valleys population are living on limited income, in homes built before the 1980s, and in many cases seniors living alone.
Many people that would like to live in the area are thwarted by a lack of real estate inventory as seasonal occupancy has removed much of the year-round housing from the village and surrounding area.

The New Denver and Area Housing Society is creating small studio, one, two and three bedroom apartment and townhouse units to accommodate our seniors, local families and new families eager to settle in our welcoming village.
